We strive to fully integrate the principles of biblical justice into every facet of life.

At the crossroads of faith and education, The Justice Project stands firm. Our journey at Biola University enjoins the broader spheres of laws, governments, and societal fabrics to signify a holistic approach to justice. We're not just advocating, we're integrating the principles of biblical justice into every facet of life, from the individual to the collective, influencing women, teaching, and writing.

CHRIST FOR THE NATIONS MINISTRIES

Pastor Norman Peter Divine ministers to Pastors and church leaders throughout Rwanda and knows the Christian ministries and leaders intimately. It is through Pastor Norman that I met the leaders at Prison Fellowship Rwanda, Dr. Charles Murigande and Bishop John Rucyahana. Dr. Murigande and Bishop Rucyahana both played a role in the remaking of the Rwandan constitution following the genocide against the Tutsi.

Pastor Norman has 2 projects that The Justice Project is interested in. These projects both target Biblical Justice and peace building programs and affect women in transformational ministry work:

The first is a leadership center where pastors and ministers can come for government approved Christian certifications.

The second is an office building - for all of these decades that Pastor Norman has been preaching and teaching the message of reconciliation, he is now at the point of needing an office space.

THE GREAT 16

Pastor Simon Gaterega, who leads a vibrant and growing church in the hills of Kigali, introduced me to a group of 15 church and ministry leaders. This group is made of genocide victims and perpetrators.  Each member is ministering to survivors, victims, and the new generations being born. Future initiatives will align the broader goals of supporting accredited educators, enhancing educational accessibility, and improving income opportunities for this group with Biblical Justice principles.

Pastor Simon is working to plant a church in the hills of Kigali to foster the Godly work of forgiveness and reconciliation, an effort of great interest to
The Justice Project.

Pastor Simon's project is to start a new congregation outside of Kigali.

LAWYERS OF HOPE

Lawyers of Hope (LOH) legal aid, led by attorney Juves Tchiamala, is pioneering significant efforts in serving vulnerable populations in Rwanda. LOH are working in prisons, in rural and city communities, with children, and others to bring about faith-based restoration and care to under-represented and under-served people. This group is experienced in prisoner restoration using the Godly principles of confession, forgiveness, restitution, and reunification to heal the people of their land through low or no cost legal services. Their work serves as a profound inspiration for our legal aid ministry, The Hope Justice Center, based in Houston.

There are two LOH projects that The Justice Project is working to affect:

LOH is seeking to expand its paralegal program which operates both in community settings and within the prison systems.

LOH is in urgent need of Bibles translated into the local language to support LOH's mission to defend the cause of the poor and needy (Proverbs 31:9.)

DIVINE LIVING GOSPEL MINISTRY

Pastor Emmanuel Ssenyunva leads a vibrant church in Uganda. Together with his wife, Esther, they are engaged in advancing the gospel throughout the region. Their ministry work includes church planting, a primary school serving over 100 children, housing for orphans, and couples and family counseling. Pastor Emmanuel is pursuing a masters degree in Christian education through Teleo University, a government-authorized institution in the Anglican faith. His wife is also earning Christian certifications from the same institution.

The Justice Project seeks to support the growth and effectiveness of their ministry. They are seeking assistance for two key projects:

Funding to purchase milk-producing animals, which will help sustain the food needs of the school children.

Funding for advanced education courses at Teleo University, enabling them to gain further qualifications and improve their service to the church and community.
